Breaking News: Redskins Sign RB Larry Johnson

March 12, 2010 Daily Content No Comments

According to ESPN.com’s Adam Schefter (what else is new), the Redskins have signed free agent running back Larry Johnson to a three-year deal.

Mike Shanahan made it known earlier in the week that he’s a fan of Johnson’s, having coached against him for years in the AFC West.

Expect Clinton Portis and Johnson to lead the ‘Skins running attack in 2010, and don’t be suprised if another running back is added through the middle rounds of this year’s draft.

Good move for the ‘Skins? I’d say yes. Of all the RB’s that remain on the free agent market, I think Johnson may have the most left in his tank. Both him and Portis could thrive in Shanny’s zone block system.

LJ, just stay off the Twitter brah.
