Bump and Run Players of the Week
Donovan McNabb: McNabb kept the high flying Eagles offense going this week against the Broncos. He threw for 322 yards and 3 TD’s in the Eagles victory and put them in position for a first round bye with a victory next week against Dallas. McNabb = 1 point
Jay Cutler: Sometimes Jay Cutler looks awful and other times he looks absolutely awesome. And awesome is how he looked last night against the Vikings. Cutler threw for 273 yards and 4 TD’s including the game winner in OT following an AP fumble. Cutler = 2 points
Tom Brady: You know it’s getting close to playoff time when Brady is starting to heat up. He put 3 nails in the Jaguars coffin this weekend by throwing for 267 yards and 4 TD’s in a blowout. Brady = 3 points
Jonathan Stewart: How should the Giants have played with their playoff chances hanging in the balance? The answer is to look across the sideline and see what Jonathan Stewart did to their defense. He ran like a man possessed, was physical and it took 3 Giants to tackle him on most occasions. Stewart racked up over 200 rushing yards and had 1 TD. Stewart = 4 points
Defense
Jay Ratliff: The speedy DE for the Cowboys helped pressure Jason Campbell all game long. He ended up with 2 sacks and 3 tackles. Ratliff = 1 point
Jerod Mayo: This year when Mayo has been in the lineup for the Patriots they have looked pretty good on defense. Sunday was no exception and he led the way. Mayo finished the game with 15 tackles(11 solo). Mayo = 2 points
Adrian Wilson: Wilson led the Cardinals defense on Sunday in shutting down the Rams. The veteran safety had 4 tackles, 1 sack and 1 INT on the day for the Cards. Wilson = 3 points
Brian Cushing: The lock for Defensive Rookie of the Year is playing at a level most rookies don’t come close to. He continued that against the Dolphins. The rookie LB finished the game with 9 tackles, 1 sack and 1 INT in a huge victory for the Texans. Cushing = 4 points
