Bump and Run Players of the Week
An MVP candidate continues his march and a RB out of nowhere has an almost record breaking day, that and more in this week’s Bump and Run Players of the Week:
Offense
Andre Johnson: No he did not get in the endzone this week but what he has done over the last two weeks is cementing him as the best WR in the game. He followed up his 193 yard effort last week with 9 catches for 196 yards this week in a crucial victory for the Texans. Johnson = 1 point
Ben Roethlisberger: The end of their game mirrored the end of the Steelers Super Bowl win last year. Roethlisberger hit a WR in the endzone who barely got 2 feet in for the game winning TD. He threw for 503 yards on the day and 3 TD’s. Big Ben = 2 points
Peyton Manning: On Thursday night, Manning stepped up to keep his team undefeated. He made big throw after big throw to keep the Colts on pace for a season of perfection. He ended the day throwing for over 300 yards and 4 TD’s. Manning = 3 points
Jerome Harrison: The Browns RB came up huge in their victory against the Chiefs. He had 35 carries for 286 yards and 3 TD’s. His yardage total is the third best in NFL history. Harrison = 4 points
Defense
Domonique Foxworth: Foxworth normally gets picked on by other teams and the Bears tried to do that on Sunday but he was up for the challenge. Foxworth picked off Cutler two times and had 4 tackles. Foxworth = 1 point
Brent Grimes: Grimes help shut down the Jets offense on Sunday and deliver a huge blow to the Jets playoff chances. Grimes picked off Sanchez twice and had 6 tackles. Grimes = 2 points
Anthony Spencer: Spencer was an absolute beast on Saturday night. He was running right around the Saints offensive line. He helped the Cowboys give the Saints their first loss of the season with a 6 tackles(5 solo) performances which included 2 sacks and another QB hit. Spencer = 3 points
James Anderson: Anderson helped lead the Panthers defense shutting down of the Vikes offense. Anderson had 11 tackles(9 solo), 1 sack, 1 more QB hit and 1 pass defended. Just by reading his stat line you can tell he was all over the field. Anderson = 4 points
